Q1 Where can I find movie previews and videos and how can I view them on my xda?
A1 On your Xda II, tap Video > Video Downloads, and you will be connected to the O2 Video Download service where you download or stream video clips. Alternatively, Xda II can run video streams from the internet using Windows-Media-Player WMV (Windows Media Video) and ASF-files, examples of which can be found at http://www.windowsmedia.com.
Q2 Can I listen to music or watch a movie while composing an email or opening a Microsoft application?
A2 Yes. You can turn on music through the built-in Microsoft Media Player or watch movie clips via PocketTV software (freely downloadable from ) and access Microsoft applications simultaneously.
Q3 I copied some MP3's to my Xda II, but cannot play them. While trying to delete it, I get an error "Error when deleting file". How do I solve this?
A3 An active program is still accessing this file. Pocket PC does not close active programmes - they continue running in the background. For this reason, they continue to access files. In such cases, it is necessary to carry out a soft-reset to close all running applications and open files. Then it is possible to delete the MP3 files without further problems.
Some MP3 files are created with the Lame Encoder. Media Player has problems with this encoder.
Q4 What types of files are supported on Windows Media Player?
A4 MP3, Windows Media Audio (WMA), Advanced Streaming Format (ASF) and Windows Media Video (WMV) files are supported. You can also receive streaming content. Formats such as .asf, .asx, .wm, .wma, .wmv and .wav are supported.
Q5 Can I use Realplayer with Xda II?
A5 Yes - all content stored on Xda II will be usable. You are not able to stream Real content using O2 MobileWeb at this time.
Q6 I recently installed TomTom Navigator on Xda II, and now Windows Media Player doesn't work.
A6 This is a known bug with earlier versions of the TomTom software. Ensure you are using at least v2.05 of the TomTom software.
