Q1 Is it possible to apply my own ring tones with my xda?

A1 One of the xda´s characteristics is the possibility of producing ring tones from .wav-files. After downloading your .wav files to xda, open the menu Start -> Settings -> System -> Add Ring Tone. All .wav-files , which you choose here, are later available in the menu Phone-> Tools -> Options -> select the ring tone.

Q2 How do I convert audio files from my CD to ringtones for my xda?

A2 Download the CDex utility tools to extract any audio files in an audio CD from http://www.cdex.n3.net/. You can extract a partial track and save the output to wav format.

Q3 Is there any extra ringtones that can be added to the XDA?

A3 Yes. Users can also make their own. You can download the extra ringtones at

Q4 How do I set the xda to both vibrate and ring?

A4 From the phone screen, simply go to Tools/Options and select the ring type to vibrate, ring or combination of both. You can change the volume, set it to vibrate or put to silent mode by pressing the phone volume button on the left of the device or tap on the volume icon on top of your O2 xda screen.

Q5 I have a problem with incoming SMS as whenever the earpiece is plugged on, there will not be any ringing tone to alert the new SMS. How am I able to hear the alert?

A5 When the earpiece is plugged on, there is still a ringing tone to alert the new SMS, but you need to use the earpiece to listen to the ringing tone. You may also set an additional "vibrate" alert in Settings > Personal > Sounds & Notifications screen.

Q6 Can I change the ring type to vibrate mode or beep once then ring or increasing ring?

A6 You can set Ring type to Ring, Increasing ring, Ring once, Vibrate, Vibrate and ring, Vibrate then ring or None.
