Q1 I have heard that it is not possible to use Bluetooth or WLAN SD-cards with the xda. Is this correct?
A1 This statement is correct. There are two SD card-slot standards: SD and SDIO. The SD standard can ONLY be used for memory cards. The SDIO standard is able to address expansion-cards like Bluetooth, WLAN or other cards. The xda only offers the SD standard.
Q2 Can I use a Projector with xda?
A2 Using e.g. IrDA connectivity together with appropriate drivers, the xda can be connected directly to a projector. Additionally, the xda screen can be displayed using a remote display control software, e.g. RemoteDSP installed on the PC while you connect the xda to a PC. The remote display control software is not bundled with the xda. There is a product called Irma which supports the connection between the XDA and a projector. Go to for more.
Q3 Is there an application which can be used as an answering machine for the xda?
A3 No, there is no application, which can be used as an answering machine for the PocketPC Phone Edition. Only network based voicemail is available.
Q4 Can I use xda as a modem with my PC
A4 UK and Ireland users should upgrade their device to v3.17.03 of the ROM.
